8mean Wheeler was Captain of the first ever Team Canada when a group of skaters travelled to the UK in 2008 to play Glasgow, Birmingham and London.

Two-time TCRG first overall draft pick in 2006 and 2010, 8 also served two consecutive terms as League President, was a previous travel team captain and member of travel team since its inception. In 2010, 8 was the Iron Pivot award recipient.

Having played with skaters from Alaska to San Diego to Hawaii and points in between, when she is not attending or coaching boot-camps throughout the pacific northwest 8 is always looking for every opportunity to improve her game and learn from others.

A husband, 4 kids (2 are his , 2 are 8mean’s), 3 dogs, several fish, 1 cat, 1 fire belly toad and a Ball Python keeps 8mean a fierce competitor on and off the track.

8 has played and coached field hockey for over 5 years.

She is intensely proud of making Team Canada and looks forward to playing with the other members of the team as much as she looks forward to the World Cup itself.
